Rachel Sklar Gives Up “Life Partner”

Mediaite’s Rachel Sklar signed on for the Sabbath Manifesto Unplug Challenge in May because while she admits calling her Blackberry her “life partner,” she also loves a challenge and she also believes that “If God can take a breather, then I’m certainly entitled.”

Reply to Rachel Sklar: God has given us a day rest where we may meet with Him; learn of Him; and worship Him. He has blessed this day, sanctified it and set it apart from the rest of the days of the week. (Man cannot make a day holy only God can do that.) He rested after creating our world and us not because He was tired but to give us an example to follow. Thus our kind God did this for us that we may have a day to “take a breather” and to rest and refresh ourselves to face the coming week. This day He called the Seventh Day, known today as Saturday. Read Exodus 20:8-11, Genesis 2:1-3. God never changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Early church leaders made this change without any authority from God to do so.
